Today the kids planted some seedlings. They put manure in, pressed the seeds in and then watered them. The kids planted coriander, rocket, cos lettuce, basil, beetroot, thyme and spring onions. Then we put them out in the sunlight and explained to the kids that in a week or so, we might be able to see some of the plants shoot up through the soil. Explained that plants need good soil, water and sunlight to be able to grow. The kids also potted some established flowers given to them by their Nan. They watered the flowers with their own watering cans and we put the pots in the front garden so they receieve adequate sunlight to flourish.
